Woolsery 0 - 1 South Molton

A visit from South Molton in our first home game saw them struggle to break down our solid defence.  An excellent strike from  Alfred had their keeper beaten but unfortunately just went wide.  Overall a much improved team performance which if it continues will surely show dividends in the following weeks.  A special thank you to Jackie & Maria who sorted out the refreshments.

Bideford Blues 5 - 0 Woolsery Redhawks

A very respectable start on our league debut at a windy Sandymere, I was very proud of the commitment    and effort that all the players put in.  Oliver Lang and Cody Pincombe defended the initial onslaught with Jack Johns putting his body on the line in Goal and claiming our Man of The Match.  Jacob    Mault, Alfred Byrt (captain) and Thomas Souch ran their hearts out in midfield with Sam Gale and Red King putting in equal effort in the second half.  Maddie Dealey was always searching for that opportunity to pounce up front.  This was a spirited team who were very unlucky not to get a couple of goals back, overall a very solid start. The friendly afterwards saw an even better performance with outstanding effort from everyone.  Jacob Mault terrified their defence, supported by surging runs from Maddie Dealey who so nearly caught their defence napping!  Our midfield ‘spot man’ Jamie Pincombe was like a terrier when released!  If only we could play the match second? Well done everyone.
